Description: To provide power supply for the Rimac Campus, we prepared all required project documentation and obtained the location and building permits for the connection to the 110 kV transmission network of HOPS. For the implementation of the connection, we designed the 110/20 kV Rimac Campus substation with an interface to the relocated 110 kV transmission line Rakitje – Tumbri 3.
The substation consists of a dual facility under the jurisdiction of both Rimac Technology and HOPS. The 110 kV high-voltage switchgear is gas-insulated and housed in the operations building managed by HOPS, together with all related secondary equipment.
The integration of the existing 110 kV transmission line Rakitje – Tumbri 3 into the Rimac Campus substation was implemented using a loop-in/loop-out system. On the southern section of the existing transmission line, a lattice steel tower was designed for the transition to a 110 kV cable, while on the northern section, a tubular tower was foreseen, also with an overhead-to-underground cable transition.
