History

The company’s history includes projects of various complexity and scale – from transmission lines and transformer substations to telecommunication antenna towers, production halls, sports halls, schools, buildings, public infrastructure facilities, and solar power plants – all of which testify to the company’s expertise in design, supervision, consulting, and engineering. Thanks to its extensive references and experience, Dalekovod Projekt d.o.o. today has highly professional project teams specialized in all services within its field of activity.

The story of design began more than 70 years ago, when in 1949, a relatively modest team of experts in the newly established company Dalekovod started building power facilities. Preparing high-quality project documentation was the first challenge for the young company, which in the post-war period had to take on demanding construction and design projects. The first proper project teams were established in 1950. In line with the requirements and conditions of the time, the experts of these teams mainly worked on technical project documentation for overhead lines up to the nominal voltage level of 110 kV.

In the 1950s, all calculations and drawings were made “by hand,” but already in the first years after the company’s founding, awareness grew of the need to invest in human and technological potential to continually respond to new challenges. By hiring new engineers and further educating existing staff, the company kept pace with contemporary trends in construction and design.

As the company’s potential grew, its scope of activities also expanded to include the design of transformer substations and switchgear facilities, underground and submarine cables, catenary systems, cable cars, antennas, and other power engineering and telecommunication facilities. In 2007, the company’s design activities, along with all its capacities and references, were separated from Dalekovod d.d. into an independent company, Dalekovod Projekt d.o.o., which became a fully independent legal entity registered to provide design, supervision, consulting, and engineering services.
