Four New Contracts Signed in Sweden

Dalekovod-Projekt has signed four new contracts with the Swedish transmission system operator Svenska kraftnät for the design of 400 kV transmission lines in Sweden, with a total length of nearly 600 km.

The projects, with a total value of approximately EUR 30 million, will be delivered in partnership with Tyréns, with Dalekovod-Projekt acting as the lead partner. These large-scale infrastructure projects include feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed design, technical support during construction, and preparation of as-built documentation.

Sanja Vinter Awarded for the Lika Project

Our colleague Sanja Vinter, Head of the Transmission Office, has received a special recognition for the Lika project – the design and development of a new 400 kV power transmission network – as part of the XENA – Woman of the Year in Energy award.

The award is presented annually by the XEnergy Association – Network for Promoting Women in the Energy Transition, recognizing outstanding contributions to the development of the energy sector. The recipient is selected by an expert jury and the public.

Dalekovod-Projekt in a Historic Energy Interconnection Project in Sweden

Dalekovod-Projekt is participating in one of the most significant infrastructure projects for Sweden’s energy transition – the design and construction of two new 400 kV transmission lines and the reconstruction of an existing 400 kV line along a 460-kilometer corridor between Karlstad and Östersund. This mega-project, known as Karlstadbenet, will increase electricity transmission capacity between the north and south of the country and alleviate bottlenecks between energy regions. As part of a team led by the Swedish company Tyréns, acting as the main consultant, Dalekovod-Projekt and Cowi provide expert support in their respective areas of expertise. The project, valued at over €62 million, is commissioned by Svenska kraftnät, the Swedish national electricity transmission system operator.
