HV Transmission Line 400+110 kV Nuojuankangas – Huutokoski

This transmission line is one of the strategic cross-border links enhancing the interconnection between Finland and Sweden, essential for the development of the electricity market and new investments. It ensures increased capacity and high reliability of Finland’s north–south transmission network, creating the conditions for integrating renewable energy sources in northern Finland and reducing the share of fossil fuel-based electricity generation in the south. In doing so, it supports Finland’s climate goals and strengthens national energy self-sufficiency.

Dalekovod-Projekt’s services included extensive analyses and preparation of main design documentation, with a particular focus on:

  • route optimization for the new 400 kV + 110 kV transmission line (length: 130 km),
  • tower siting and related technical drawings,
  • structural checks of towers and foundations,
  • integration of the new transmission lines with existing and new substations.
